Burgess is a native of North Carolina and veteran method actor. He is well known for his work in such films as "Remember The Titans" portraying Ray Budds opposite 2 time acedemy Academy Award winner Denzel Washington and "The Reaping" as David Winter alongside another 2 time Academy Award winner, Hilary Swank. Recently Burgess played Bobby Irons throughout season 6 on the hit WB series "One Tree Hill" while also recurring on LIFETIME'S smash hits "Army Wives" and "Drop Dead Diva". In Addition he has portrayed the historical figure John Wesley in the self titled, award winning "Wesley" with Golden Globe winner Kevin McCarthy; Starred in the true story "Unshackled" with Stacy Keach; portrayed the racing legend Bill Blair in "Red Dirt Rising"; depicted the down and out Harry O'Ryan in "The Trial" Opposite Mathew Modine and won critical acclaim and the Boston Film Festival Best Actor nomination for his turn as Bruce Snow in "Insignificant Others". This Christmas Burgess can be seen as the male Lead in ABC Family's "Ex-Mas Carol" opposite Christina Milian, Chad Michael Murray and Ashley Benson. Due out in 2011 Burgess can be seen starring in the father-son movie "HERO" with Justin Miles (NBC's "The Gates") and Greg Allan Williams (HBO's "Soprano's").
Mr Jenkins' Training is the result of years of study at some of the top schools and repertory theaters in the country, including 4 years instruction at the famed Playhouse West with Robert Carnegie and academy award nominated actor Jeff Goldblum.
